Tori Amos Bio Data :

Tori Amos is a pianist, singer, and composer from America. Tori Amos was born to Mary Ellen and Reverend Edison Amos on 22 August 1963 in North Carolina. When she was two, she began to play the piano and started composing at five. She joined the Preparatory Division of the ‘Peabody Conservatory of Music’ after winning the grant.

At the age of 11, she acquired a liking for rock and pop and refused to read book music. She began to play at homosexual bars and piano bars, chaperoned by her father, after her banishment. She won a young talent contest in 1977 singing “More Than Just a Friend.”

She traveled to Los Angeles after becoming a piano player in Washington DC to seek a career in music. She married Mark Hawley, an English sound engineer, in 1998. Two years later, their daughter Natashya Lórien Hawley was born.

Career

She’s a good author Neil Gaiman’s friend. In her song ‘Tear in Your Hand,’ her name was referenced. This prolific artist promotes the National Network of Rape, Abuse and Incest (RAINN), a free U.S. assistance line, linking callers to their local rape crisis center. RAINN received the proceeds from a concert performed on its 50th birthday. In 1986, a music ensemble called ‘Y Kant Tori Read’ was set up, remembering her time at the Peabody Conservatory.

In 1988, the self-titled first album of Y Kant Tori Read was published. After the record had been bombarded, she started working for other famous musicians as a backing vocalist. She wrote ‘Distant Storm’ for ‘China O’Brien’ about that moment. The song is ascribed to a band called ‘Tess Makes Good’ in the credits.

She was required to record her breakthrough album ‘Little Earthquakes’ in 1992 with a contractual obligation. Her 1994 album ‘Under the Pink’ was recorded on Billboard 200 at number 12 and was nominated for the ‘Best Music Album’ at Grammy. In 1998, the publication of her CD ‘From the Choirgirl Hotel’ did not include Amos’ piano-based characteristic sound. In its first week, launch sales exceeded 153,000 copies. The album was named Grammy in the category ‘Best Alternative Music Album.’

Her album ‘To Venus and Back’ was published in 1999 and favorable reviews were received. The album includes the first major-label single for digital download. It was nominated for a Grammy in the category of ‘Alternative Music Album.’ In 2001 she recorded songs written by males about women and reversed the gender roles in order to meet her contractual commitment with the record company “Atlantic.”

This culminated in the album ‘Strange Little Girls’ recognized by Grammy. The album let her retain a new track because she thought that the Atlantic had not properly promoted her. Her 2002 CD, ‘Scarlet’s Walk,’ a concept album for sonic novels combined with a cross-country concert tour, made a solid debut after September 11 and attained RIAA certified gold status.

One year later, she produced a retrospective anthology, ‘Tales of a Librarian.’ In 2005, Amos co-authored an autobiography titled ‘Piece by Piece’ together with the rock-music writer Ann Powers together with the album ‘The Beekeeper.’ Amos’ interest in mythology and religion, investigating her process of songwriting, gaining recognition, and her relationship with Atlantic Records are all mentioned in the book.

In 2006, her labels issued a two-drive DVD set called ‘Fade to Red’ and a five-drive box set called ‘A Piano: The Collection’ in order to celebrate her fifteen-year solo career. They comprised remastered tracks from albums, remixes, alternative mixes, demos, and a number of unpublished recording songs. In 2009, she released her tenth solo album, and the seventh one, entitled ‘Abnormally Attracted to Sin,’ which reached the top 10 in the Billboard 200.

Later that year, she published an album called ‘Midwinter Graces’ with modified traditional songs. In 2010, she recorded ‘Fatboy Slim’s vocals and released ‘From Russia With Love,’ the extremely exclusive live CD. Her debut classical music CD, ‘Night of Hunters’ was recorded in 2011. Their work is a series of grand tributes, such as Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Granados, Satie, and Schubert. In 2012, she released ‘Gold Dust’ and created her own record label ‘Transmission Galactic.’
