FC Dallas Bio Data :

The Football Team Dallas, or simply FC Dallas, is a professional soccer club headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in the United States of America. The team was created in 1995 as the Dallas Burn, and it began competing in the league in 1996 as one of the league’s founder members. The team’s present moniker was established in 2004 after a rebranding exercise. Dallas FC has played their home games at Toyota Stadium (located in Frisco, Texas), which has a capacity of 20,500 and is specifically designed for soccer.

The team has played there since 2005. Dallas used to play its home games in the Cotton Bowl during the club’s formative years. The Hunt Sports Group, which is run by brothers Clark Hunt and Dan Hunt, who serves as the team’s president, owns the organization. The Hunt family also owns the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League and a minority stake in the Chicago Bulls.

In 2016, FC Dallas became the first team to win the Supporters’ Shield. In 2010, they finished as runners-up in the Major League Soccer Cup, losing to the Colorado Rapids in extra time in the final. The team has won the U.S. Open Cup on two separate occasions since its inception (in 1997 and again in 2016). North Texas SC, a fully owned USL affiliate, won both the regular season and overall championship titles in the 2019 USL League One season, becoming the third level champion in American soccer.

In its Club World Ranking for the year ending December 31, 2016, the International Federation of Football History & Statistics ranked FC Dallas as the 190th best club in the world and the ninth-best club in the CONCACAF region. The Toros have gained a reputation in recent years as a team that invests in the development of its players. Their academy and reserves have produced players who have gone on to play in prestigious leagues and clubs around the world, especially in Europe. Rogelio Funes Mori, Ramiro Funes Mori, Weston McKennie, Chris Richards, and Reggie Cannon are just a few of the players that have made the team.

Dallas Burn formerly used a largely red and black colour design, and its logo featured a black mustang with flames emanating from its mouth, flanked by a stylised red “Burn” wordmark. However, the Dallas Burn changed its colour scheme in the mid-2000s. On October 17, 1995, a press conference in New York City announced the introduction of the logo and the initial colours of red and black. The team changed its name to FC Dallas in 2005 to correspond with their transfer to Pizza Hut Park in the middle of that season.

They have since played in a colour scheme of red, white, silver, and blue, with a uniform design consisting of horizontally hooped stripes, and they have won three championships. The colours are formally known as Republic Red, Lonestar White, Bovine Blue, and Shawnee Silver, according to the official website. In their home clothes, red remained the dominant colour, with blue ultimately taking over as the dominant hue on the sidelines of their away games. The club’s logo was also altered, with a bull taking the place of the mustang.

In July 2012, the squad debuted their first sponsored jerseys, which featured the logo of Texan sports nutrition brand AdvoCare on the front. The hoops were a different shade of red for the 2014 and 2015 seasons, rather than a contrasting white for the previous seasons. It also had the motto “Dallas ‘Til I Die” on the inside of the collar, along with the initials “LH” on the back, which stood for Lamar Hunt’s last name.

The Houston Dynamo, FC Dallas’ major foe in the Texas Derby, is the Houston Dynamo. In addition to competing for El Capitan, a working replica Civil War cannon that goes to the regular-season victor, the two teams also battle for a variety of other prizes. There was increasing animosity between FC Dallas fans and the Colorado Rapids players, which was sparked by Colorado players’ statements directed at Dallas fans and Colorado’s victories over FC Dallas in the 2005 and 2006 MLS Cup Playoffs, among other things. As well as competing in the Texas Derby, the squad is also a part of two additional Major League Soccer rivalry cups.

Since 2007, the Lamar Hunt Pioneer Cup has been played between the Houston Dynamo and the Columbus Crew SC. It was given this name in honour of Lamar Hunt, who was an investor in both clubs at the time. In recent years, as a result of league expansion and restructuring, FC Dallas only meets Chicago and Columbus once a year in the regular season. As a result, the significance of these two rivalry cups has diminished, particularly when compared to the Texas Derby. When the club’s stadium and facility first opened their doors in 2005, Pizza Hut was the official title sponsor.

As a result of the agreement, AdvoCare will become the official shirt sponsor of FC Dallas. After the 2012 season, Pizza Hut decided to sever its partnership with the team, and the stadium was temporarily renamed FC Dallas Stadium to honour the club. When FC Dallas struck a long-term agreement with Toyota to be the official stadium naming rights partners in September 2013, the stadium was renamed once more, this time to Toyota Stadium. During the month of October 2014, FC Dallas and AdvoCare confirmed that the jersey sponsorship would be extended through 2020.
