Dieter Günther Bohlen, a German songwriter, singer, guitarist, producer, entertainer, and TV personality, was born on February 7, 1954, in Berne, Lower Saxony, near Oldenburg. During the years 1983–1987 and 1998–2003, Bohlen was a member of the successful pop duet Modern Talking.
