Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is an Italian-French singer-songwriter and fashion model who was born on December 23, 1967. She married Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France at the time, in 2008.

Career

Bruni joined City Models at the age of 19 in 1987. Guess? Inc.’s president and creative director, Paul Marciano, saw her photo amid composite cards of wannabe models and picked her to pose with Estelle Lefébure in Guess? jeans advertisements.
