Beth Phoenix Bio Data :
Elizabeth Kocianski was born and reared in Elmira, New York, the daughter of Polish immigrants. When she was eleven, she won a coloring contest and received two tickets to a Wrestling Federation television taping as a reward. That’s when she fell in love with professional wrestling, according to Kocianski. Bret Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, Owen Hart, and Ted DiBiase were among her favorite wrestlers, according to her.
There, she competed on the tennis and track and field teams at Elmira’s Notre Dame High School. Her high school peers selected her to serve as prom queen her senior year. Kociaski earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and public relations from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. Since graduating, he has established a thriving commercial career.
It was when she was fighting in the OVW that Kocianski also worked as a waitress at Lights Bakery and Coffee Shop in Elmira, which is where she met her future husband. As a result of adultery, she and Joey Carolan, better known by his ring name Joey Knight, divorced in 2010. After meeting and falling in love with Adam Copeland, best known in the WWE as Edge, their daughter Lyric Rose Copeland was born on December 12, 2013.
They first met in September of 2011 and got married in October of that year, which was a wonderful coincidence. Her mother, Ruby Ever Copeland, died away in 2015 and Ruby Ever Copeland, their second daughter, was born May 31, 2016. Their nuptials took place on October 30, 2016, in front of their family and friends. In the ring, she has won the WWE Divas Championship twice and the WWE Women’s Championship three times. Kocianski had a great amateur wrestling career in high school before getting recruited by the All Knights to train for professional wrestling in the United Kingdom.
Her professional wrestling career began in May 2001, when she made her debut in an independent wrestling promotion. Also in New York, she appeared in the Shimmer Women Athletes events, the first of their type. A year after she started working for Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in 2004, she received a developmental contract offer from WWE. There had been an actual fracture of her jaw, which necessitated surgery, and she had to miss her debut on the Raw brand in May 2006.
As a result, she had to endure a series of surgeries and was sent back to the OVW for further training. At the OVW, she won the Women’s Championship twice, but the organization didn’t recognize her second triumph as a true championship victory. When she returned to the WWE’s Raw brand in July 2007, she was given the moniker “The Glamazon.” She won her first WWE Women’s Championship at the No Mercy pay-per-view in October and held it for six months before losing it. In the following months, her on-screen romance with Santino Marella, better known as “Glamarella,” began. When she won the Women’s Championship in August 2008, she held on to the championship for another year, ending in January of 2009.
When she became the second woman to compete in the Royal Rumble match in January 2010, she created history as the sole female competitor in its history. A month later, she retained her title by winning the Women’s Championship for the third time. Nikki Bella defeated Phoenix in April 2012, despite the fact that she had previously held the WWE Divas Championship in October 2011. Phoenix revealed that she wanted to spend more time with her family, which included her boyfriend and subsequently husband, Adam Copeland, better known in WWE as Edge, with whom she had two kids, as the reason for her retirement and departure from WWE.
It wasn’t long after becoming a WWE Hall of Famer that Phoenix returned as a color commentator for the promotion. Phoenix was the first woman admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame after retiring, and she was also the youngest woman elected into the organization’s hall of fame at the age of 36. After her retirement, she became the first woman to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
On top of all that, she became the first female inductee into the George Tragos and Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, established in 1993 and only for professional wrestlers with wrestling experience. The most prominent appearance for Phoenix since her reappearance, despite her extended hiatus, was at WrestleMania 35, where she made a memorable appearance. In 2018, she became the first wrestler to compete in both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble tournaments when she competed in the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. She was made a full-time color commentator for the WWE NXT television show in May of this year.
