Amy Dumas Bio Data :

Amy Dumas a.k.a Lita is a semi-retired wrestler and four-time WWE Women’s Champion. Amy Dumas was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, on April 14, 1975. During her early life, she moved to a lot of schools. She studied at Lassiter High School and graduated from Georgia State University in education. In 1993, though, she dropped out of it. The personal life of Amy Dumas has gained a lot of attention.

She was in a relationship with Hardy first. Their chemistry first size in a match started in the real-life romance on the screen. Amy Dumas revealed that she was pregnant in 2004. However, the most shocking thing was that the child was not Hardy’s but Kane’s. Hardy and Kane met for a game in which anyone who won married Amy. Kane defeated Hardy successfully and went on to marry Amy.

Unfortunately, though, Amy’s dissatisfaction with her marriage was clearly obvious when she helped Kane’s opponents during her matches. A miscarriage followed by divorce finally brought Kane to an end. She then engaged with Edge romantically. This too, however, ended after her retirement. After seeing Rey Mysterio Jr wrestle on the episode of the World Cup Wrestling, Amy Dumas’ interest in wrestling began. She was so enthusiastic about the sport that she went to Mexico to learn more.

She trained under numerous wrestlers in Mexico. She then appeared with the Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre several times. When she returned to the United States, she started working as a freelance valet. Amy Dumas first took the ring name Angelica in Maryland Championship Wrestling. She then appeared at the NWA Mid Atlantic to train Matt and Jeff Hardy.

In 1999, she made her debut at the Wrestling Extreme Championship (ECW). Amy Dumas met Dory Funk Jr. at his wrestling school, the Funkin Conservatory, for the first time. She was one of the 24 graduates of the school in August 1999. She returned to ECW in October 1999 for her final appearance. Amy Dumas was signed to the WWF development agreement on 1 November 1999.

She was called Lita and teamed with Luchador Essa Rios. Lita made her début, together with Rios, on 13 February 2000 for an episode of Sunday Night Heal. Later, after a feud, Rios and Lita separated, joined by Matt and Jeff Hardy. Team Xtreme was formed by the trio. As a member of Team Xtreme Amy Dumas was the only woman to participate physically in a WWF match for tables, leads, and chairs.

She then began feuding with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley WWF Women’s Champion. Lita defeated Stephanie during an episode of Raw on August 21, 2000, with a moonsault, to win her maid’s title. She successfully defended her title for 73 days before losing a four-way match against Ivory in a SmackDown episode! Her efforts to regain the title were unsuccessful when she lost to Ivory in Survivor Series Rebellion Her feud began in early 2001 with Dean Malenko.

In a single bout on Raw’s program, she defeated him. By the middle of 2001, she joined Trish Stratus in the fight against Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. Amy Dumas and Stratus defeated Keibler and Wilson in the first-ever team bra and panties match on the 22nd of July 2001, removing their rivals naked. They teamed up with Jacqueline and feuded in a challenge of six packages with Keibler, Wilson, Ivory, and Mighty Molly. In February 2002, she returned to WWF TV and continued to seize the title of WWF Women’s Championship. She made her debut in the ring in March with WrestleMania X8 against Stratus and then the reigning Jazz champion.

Amy Dumas’s title chase was again discontinued after a catastrophic misfortune that caused three breaks in her spine. After being operated on, she rehabilitated and sporadically appeared as a commentator the rest of the year. After seventeen months, in September 2003, she returned to the ring for an episode of Raw. She competed in the women’s division one year later.

She won the Royal Battle to become the number one female champion. Amy Dumas met Matt Hardy when the latter assisted her in Kane’s assault. She built a Hardy team. Kane, who could not stand the union, abducted Amy and handed her a Bad Blood title shot, which she lost to Trish Stratus. Amy Dumas’ happiness and joy talked a lot about title victory, but it didn’t last much. Just a month later, Stratus defeated Amy and on January 9, 2005, ended her second term as Women’s Champion.

In March 2005, she came back to WWE TV as a Christy Hemme mentor. Although Hemme was training, Stratus was pinned down at WrestleMania 21. A personal feud between Stratus and Amy reappeared with the two in a series of brawls. She knocked her crutches at Stratus. In August 2006, Mickie James defeated her third women’s championship in an episode of Raw. However, at Unforgiven in the Stratus retirement match, she lost the title of rival Trish Stratus.

After Stratus was retired, she was later reinstated in November after Mickie James was defeated. In November 2006, Amy announced her retirement, stating that the Survivor Series match would be the last match of her career. Playing against Mickie James, she lost not only the match but also the title of her Women.

Following her retirement, she debuted in 2007 for the United Wrestling Federation (UWF) which served as a special guest arbiter for a match between Christy Hemme and April Hunter. Then she had a debut in the ring with Jerry Lynn, fighting Austin Starr and Christy Hemme successfully.

Amy Dumas made her debut later as a special guest referee for Family Wrestling Entertainment. Amy Dumas established the punk rock band besides wrestling. ‘The Luchagors’ in 2006. On 11 September 2007, the band released their self-titled debut CD.
