Allegra Tinnefeld was born on September 10, 2005, in the Austrian capital of Vienna. She is an Austrian violinist, singer, and actress who was born in Vienna. Tinnefeld is the daughter of Hans-Joachim Tinnefeld, principal conductor of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and Natanya Tinnefeld, an elementary school teacher. She began taking violin lessons when she was three years old and began attending school before she turned five years old.
As a soloist and chamber music ensemble member, she has been a regular competitor in the Austrian youth music competition Prima la music in the Vienna State Competition since she was five years old, where she has received first place with distinction on several occasions between 2011 and 2015. Currently, she is a student of Anton Sorokow’s extremely talented course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she has been since the spring of 2019.
The Vienna Symphony Orchestra’s Allegra Tinnefeld performs as a soloist on a regular basis, both with the orchestra and with her band (which includes members of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra), as demonstrated by her appearance at the Day of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra as part of the Bregenz Festival in 2009. As part of the Oberpullendorfer Rathaus’s autumn concert series, she sang and played a full-length concert with her band, appeared at numerous charity galas, including LaughingHearts in Berlin, and was invited by Alexej Igudesman to participate at his New Year’s Eve show at the Wiener Konzerthaus. As a soloist with the “Vienna Classical Players,” she performed two concerts at the Wiener Konzerthaus in 2019: one with the Geremus Trio and another with the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Since 2015, Allegra Tinnefeld has also worked as an actor in film and television.
