Ala Boratyn Bio Data :
Ala Boratyn, popularly known by her mononym Ala, was born Alicja Julia Boratyn on November 27, 1992, in Warsaw, Poland, and is a Polish singer-songwriter. She first gained international attention in 2005 as one of the lead singers of the Polish female duet Blog 27. Boratyn had considerable success with Blog 27 in her own country of Poland, Central Europe, and Japan.
After leaving the band in 2006, she embarked on a brief solo career before joining the bands Wicked Giant, New People, and Ala Zachary, all of which were formed in the following year. Her professional debut came in 2005 as a member of the Polish band Blog 27, which she co-founded with a childhood friend, Tola Szlagowska, as a member of the band Blog 27. After releasing their debut album, LOL>, which reached number one in various European nations and Japan, the duo went on to gain economic success.
There were three moderate international hits on the album, including “Uh La La La,” “Hey Boy (Get Your Ass Up,” and “Wid Out Ya.” It was certified double platinum in Poland and included three moderate international hits on the album, including “Uh La La La,” “Hey Boy (Get Your Ass Up,” and “Wid Out Ya.” As a member of Blog 27, Ala went on a tour of Western Europe, where she opened for the famed German band Tokio Hotel.
Ala announced her departure from the band in October 2006, citing personal and creative issues between her and Tola as the reason for her decision. She then embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut album Higher in November 2007 to critical acclaim. However, despite the fact that the first single, “Angel,” was a significant hit, the album was unable to match the economic success enjoyed by Blog 27’s album.
After that, she recorded five songs for the soundtrack of the Polish television series Majka, which was based on the popular Venezuelan serial Juana la Virgen, which aired in 2010. Two of those tracks, “Nie pytaj mnie” and “SMS,” went on to become popular singles in Poland. The former received an award for being the best-selling Polish song on digital platforms in 2011 – Digital Song of the Year.
It was in 2014 that she returned to the music scene as the lead singer of Wicked Giant, a grunge-inspired pop band that had been on hiatus for several years. In 2016, the band released an EP with the same name. She has recently begun performing with the indie-pop band New People, and she and her New People bandmate Jakub Sikora have collaborated on the Ala Zastary project, which was released in late 2017.
The pair debuted with the track “Pilot,” which was released in late 2017. New People’s critically praised self-titled debut album was published in February of this year. Ala Zastary published their debut album Jutro? In 2005, Tola Szlagowska and Alicja Boratyn created the Polish music group Blog 27, which has since grown into one of the most popular pop groups in our country, aiming at youthful audiences.
Teenagers, heavily influenced by the then-current emo movement, stole the hearts of listeners with their debut album, LOL>, which went on to achieve platinum status in Poland and widespread recognition throughout Europe and, eventually, Japan. Together, Tola and Ala have written hit songs such as “Uh-La-La-La” and “Hey Boy (Get Your Ass Up).
” Unfortunately, the singers were unable to reach an artistic accord, and Boratyn was forced to leave the band in 2006. Szlagowska continued her acting career, and Blog 27 appeared in a number of television shows, including “39 I pó.” It’s worth noting that the guitarist for the group was previously recognized for his work with Afromental and “The Voice of Poland” Baron, among other projects.
Despite the fact that the third album “Before I’II Die…” was extremely well received and was certified as a gold album, the band decided to call it quits in 2008 when Tola decided to pursue a music degree at a music school in the United States.
Both singers are attempting to get into the music industry, but have had little success thus far. “Subtitles” was published by Tola as an individual album in 2021 and “Jutro? Boratyn, on the other hand, appears to have decided to treat music as a passion rather than as a significant source of revenue. A post from the singer has appeared on the internet, in which she states that she is looking for work.
